You and your neighbours should be keeping an eye out for suspicious behaviour on your street. You should inquire at your local police station about Neighbourhood Support groups. These groups are very successful at preventing crime.

If you are away for a few days have your neighbour collect your mail. Leave a house key, your PIN number, and your contact details with them incase of any activations.

Leave a pair of shoes by the front door and leave a light on to give the impression of being home.

Set up security lights at the front of your home.

Securely lock all windows and doors.

​

Keep expensive items out of sight such as jewellery, money, phones and laptops.

If you have a security alarm system, arm it. Install warning stickers on your windows to advertise the fact you have a security alarm system.
